A Visitor From Düsseldorf
Mario from 1000 Getränke is coming to Minnesota this week! He's been a leading contributor to Beer Me! for almost 18 years, and we finally get to meet in person.
I put together a very ambitious schedule of brewery visits, and I don't really expect us to be able to hit all of them, but...
- Wednesday, January 19: From the airport to the house
- Utepils Brewing, Minneapolis
- Pryes Brewing, Minneapolis
- OMNI Brewing, Maple Grove
- Lupulin Brewing, Big Lake
- The Nordic Brewing Co., Monticello
- Aegir Brewing, Elk River (of course!)
- Thursday, January 20: Downtown STP (I haven't been to any of these)
- Yoerg Brewing, Saint Paul
- Waldmann Brewery, Saint Paul
- Bad Weather Brewery, Saint Paul
- Barrel Theory Beer Company, Saint Paul
- Clutch Brewing, Saint Paul
- Saint Paul Brewing, Saint Paul
- Tin Whiskers Brewing, Saint Paul
- Friday, January 21: Mostly North Loop
- Wicked Wort Brewing, Robbinsdale
- Inbound BrewCo, Minneapolis
- StormKing Brewpub and Barbecue, Minneapolis
- Fulton Brewing, Minneapolis
- Modist Brewing, Minneapolis
- The Freehouse, Minneapolis
Like I said, very ambitious. But we'll do our best, and you're welcome to join us!

First stop: Pryes Brewing. They have a couple beers now that they didn't have when we were here last January. The 2021 Barrel Aged Lost Moon imperial stout is dangerously drinkable. The Abbey Road Dubbel was good, but not as complex as it could be.
Second stop, one of my favorites: Utepils. Fantastic beers here. The J's IPA isn't really an IPA, but it's a damn tasty Pale Ale. And the Totally Different Stout totally tastes like a light Baltic Porter.
And I think I'll wash them down with an MNator Doppelbock.
Third stop: OMNI Brewing. Always good beers here, and they change often enough that I can always find a few that I haven't had. In fact, I had three or four new ones tonight, but the notes will have to wait.
Also, the "short bus" is here, which is a good thing, because it contains a brick oven for pizzas, which are excellent.
And we just made it to Aegir before they closed!
