Green means the icon is located pretty much at the correct address, orange means it's somewhere in the city, and red denotes state/province or even country-level accuracy.
Russia, China, and Japan are particularly messy, but I'm hoping that most of the rest of the world is at least usable. If you happen to have a GPS unit, you can help me make the map more accurate by sending the latitude/longitude coordinates of the breweries you visit.
By the way, don't forget that beermapping.com covers the United States in great detail, and also includes beer stores and alehouses on their maps. I owe a lot of my data to them.

*I started keeping track in April 1997; the site has actually existed in one form or another since 1991.
Here's a big thank you to beermapping.com's Jonathan Surratt for sharing his geolocator information. A whole lot of my map links were off, sometimes by several miles, and his data has helped me straighten them out. Jonathan also provided information on more than 100 US breweries that I didn't even have listed.
Beer Me! and beermapping.com will be cooperating a lot more in the future; I definitely owe Jonathan a beer!
This is downright embarrassing. Cox News Service reports that the official beer of this year's World Cup — being held in Germany, remember — is Budweiser:
"For Germans, Bud tastes like watered-down beer. It's not beer," complained Hofrichter, 24, a graduate student from the city of Nuremberg.
"It's Spuelwasser!" cried Robert Paustian, 32, from another table in the boisterous beer hall, using the German word for dishwater.
Other Germans haven't reacted so politely.

Beer's health benefits aren't just for women anymore. Slashfood notes an Oregon State University study that indicates a compoound in hops may inhibit prostate cancer. And just 17 beers a day can do the trick!
It's never ending praise for the pomegranate in preventing disease, especially prostate cancer, but if you couldn't drink another glass of pomegranate juice, then you might be okay grabbing a beer instead.

Snopes.com ran a story last week with pictures of a townhouse literally full of empty beer cans. Here's some of what they had to say:
The 8-year resident of the building was apparently exceedingly fond of Coors Light beer, drinking a couple of dozen cans a day, every day, for the length of his residence, saving all the empties as well as the cartons they came in. (The townhouse was found to contain an estimated 70,000 empty beer cans which reportedly fetched a total of $800 when they were delivered to a recycler.)
A case of "Silver Bullets" a day. Yum.
